I think this is a game we were well capable of winning and we are very disappointed with the result. We started the brightly with a well worked corner from Josh Lynch short to Darren Murray and he fired low into the corner to put us one up. We continued to press and had a few opportunities which we did not take. We gifted them their first goal as we did not clear the loose ball, which has happened to many times this season. We must cut out mistakes if we want to get more points on the board. At this level we cannot be gifting the opposition with goals.
Ballymena & Banbridge Town
We play Ballymena this weekend. This is a massive game for us after the defeat last Friday and one in which we are looking to pick up points. Ballymena is a tough place to go and a long journey, but we need to have the right attitude to come out of the game with something. We are not being clinical enough in putting teams away. But I think we need to continue to work hard and hopefully the luck will come. We have a lot of boys coming back from injury, once we get them back fit and playing we should look a bit more solid. We have a mid-week game against Banbridge Town in the mid ulster cup on Tuesday night. This gives us a break from the league and a chance to get some players game time. Hopefully we can get the win as this will also give us a boost and some confidence going into Saturdays game.
