Warrenpoint Town U18s Seek Senior Development Phase Coach 2019/2020 Aug 05, 2019

Warrenpoint Town Football Club is looking to recruit U18s Senior Development Phase Coach(s) for the 2019/2020 season.

The voluntary roles will require coaches to coach the U18s (NIFL) development squad (Monday & Wednesday) games primarily (Friday) and offers successful applicants the opportunity to work within an Irish Premier League Academy and play an important part in the development of the young footballers.

Role Summary

To be responsible for the overall management, development and coaching of the U18 NIFL   team within the academy, in line with the coaching philosophy, vision and values of the Academy.

To work closely with other NIFL age groups and Academy Manager to ensure that the needs of all players are fully catered.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • To support the Academy Manager with the coaching programme for a specific age group of players and deliver related practices associated with excellence in football.
  • Inspire, engage and support the development of Academy Players within Senior Development Phase.
  • Planning, delivery & evaluation of coaching sessions.
  • Recording and evaluation of players performance within sessions & games.
  • Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis, completing the relevant reports.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to the academy vision and philosophy.
  • A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work with a range of individuals.
  • Communicate with players, coaches, parents and Academy Manager.
  • Commit to a training and games programme as required.
  • Attend internal meetings and CPD events provided by the Club.

 

Senior Development Phase Roles (U18)

Essential Criteria:

  • UEFA B coaching licence
  • Emergency First Aid certificate (valid).
  • Safeguarding Children certificate (valid).
  • Access NI / FA DBS Clearance.
  • Previous experience of working with young players within the Senior Development Phase.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to the academy vision and philosophy.
  • A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work with a range of individuals.
