Name: Dermot Mc Veigh

Date of birth: 24/07/1990

Height: 6’1

Weight: Before isolation ?

From: Belfast

Position: Centre back….. until this season anyway, now a box to box midfielder

Occupation: PE Teacher

Favourite player of all time? Ian Harte/ Lucas Radebe

Favourite meal? Muscles in white wine and garlic sauce, fillet steak all the trimmings, sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream.

Best pre match breakfast? Simple enough, porridge/wheatabix in the morning then scrambled eggs, beans and toast a bit later.

How do you prepare for a game / What’s your usual routine? Relax on the Friday night don’t think too much about the game, get plenty of fluid on board. Get up on the Saturday think about who we’re playing and who I’ll be up against when I’m sitting about and getting ready. Meet the rest of the Belfast lads and head to the game.

Any lucky traditions? Not that it has been very lucky! I always sort my left foot first (socks, boots, shinguards).

Favourite book? Don’t get the chance to read as much as I’d like to but I like autobiographies. The best I’ve read so far is ‘The Guvnor, Lenny McLean’. Highly recommend.

Person you most admire? I couldn’t pick one I admire and look up to a lot of people for different reasons. Anyone who works hard to get what they want, looks out for others, doesn’t look down their nose at others and people that do things for people and don’t expect anything in return, they’re my type of people.

3 guests for dinner, dead or alive? Peter Kay, Frankie Boyle, Megan Fox.

Football Honours? Co. Antrim Shield, 2x Irish League, Mid Ulster cup, Championship.

Past clubs? Ballymena, Cliftonville, Warrenpoint x2, City of Liverpool, St. James Swifts
