TALENT IDENTIFICATION VACANCIES 2019/2020 Oct 30, 2019

Warrenpoint Town Football Club is looking to recruit several ‘Talent Identification Staff’ to actively recruit players for WTFC Academy across the Youth Development and Senior Development Phases (U15-U20s).

The voluntary roles will require Talent ID Staff to identify, monitor and develop a network of contacts and players that display the potential to play for Warrenpoint Town FC.  The role will involve attending grassroots football matches within the Warrenpoint and surrounding areas and compiling player reports on individuals to submit to the Academy Manager.

Role Summary (Talent ID Staff)

  • Successful applicants will have an awareness and understanding of Long-Term Player Development (LTPD), Grassroots and/or Academy level football.
  • Successful applicants should understand the effects of Growth and Maturation, Early/Late Developer and identifying ‘Potential’.
  • Successful applicants should understand the 4 corner player development model.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to the academy vision and philosophy.
  • A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work with a range of individuals.
  • Successful applicants should reside within 1-hour distance of Warrenpoint Town FC Academy and will be able to highlight potential players capable of progressing into the Academy Teams between the Youth Development and Senior Development Phases (U15-U20s).
  • Successful applicants must complete FA Talent ID Level 1, attend in-house scout CPD sessions along with additional training provided by the Academy Manager.
  • Successful applicants will be expected to develop a network of contacts within football, complete and submit detailed and accurate Player / Match reports through the Clubs reporting system.
  • Successful applicants will be expected to attend a monthly ‘Recruitment’ meeting to update Academy Manager.
  • The role requires a high degree of flexibility to cover evening and weekend work as required.
  • Coaching licences Level 1, UEFA B (Desirable)
  • FA Talent ID Level 1 (Desirable)
  • Safeguarding Children certificate (valid).
  • Access NI / FA DBS Clearance.
