Meet the Supporter: Jack Gilsenan Sep 13, 2018

1.How long have you supported Warrenpoint Town?

10 years ago. I started when my cousin Richie was playing in the Mid-Ulster team

 2.What’s your first memory?

One of my first memories,  going on to the pitch at half time of matches and playing football across the pitch, using the two cement dugouts as the goalposts.

3.Any funny stories from your time as a supporter?

One memory would have been in the season we had just been relegated. We had an away match against Armagh City and I thought I’d go and watch the team. Left Rostrevor at 1pm “incase I got lost on the way” and then I ended up getting there at 3.10pm…..only me.

4.Your favourite current/past player?

Favourite past player would be John Boyle and favourite player currently would be Anto Reilly.

5.Your favourite away trip?

Favourite away trip would be the Irish Cup replay against Cliftonville at Solitude. Amazing Warrenpoint support. Something I’d love to see more regular.

6.Your favourite goal?

Liam Bagnall’s goal against Ballinamallard in the 7-0 win at Milltown.

7.Any favourite matches?

Favourite match would be Donegal Celtic, the night we got promoted

7.If you could sign any player from another Irish League club, who would it be?

Mark Haughey from Linfield.. Chunk will hopefully help me out here and get him to Warrenpoint
