Warrenpoint Town Manager Barry Gray has added his 5th signing of the summer with the addition of Scottish winger and striker Matthew Knox joining the club.
Knox has previously played for Livingston, East Fife and Berwick Rangers in his native country of Scotland. He became the youngest player in Livingston’s history when he made his first-team debut against St Mirren, just four days after his 16th birthday.
During his time at Livingston, Matthew went on trial at Rangers, Manchester United, Liverpool and Sunderland.
Manager Barry Gray outlined his thoughts on his new addition saying “Matthew is only 20 years old and he’s already attracted massive interest from some very big clubs. He has an enormous amount of ability and he’s so ambitious to kick his career on to a new level. I’m delighted that he has bought into the challenge at Warrenpoint and fully expect him to excel in the season ahead. Hungry players willing to do whatever it takes is fantastic for us as we move forward.”
“Matthew has relocated from Edinburgh and we look forward to working closely with him in the year ahead”
