We always knew it was going to be a tough test travelling down to Coleraine who have been in fine form and pushing to win the league. We started off the game brightly and created a few chances. Conor Mac was unlucky to have his shot blocked off the line in the first half, on another day this could have been a goal. Coleraine also created a few chances which we defended off well. The goal we conceded from a corner was sloppy and could have been avoided. But we learn from our mistakes and it helps us improve. Overall, I think we were unlucky not to get a point. Although we lost I believe that there is a lot of positives we can take from the game as we continue to grow as a team.
Glentoran Away Preview
We now turn our attention to tomorrows game against Glentoran. Travelling down to the Oval is never an easy task so we will have to be at our best if we want to pick up points. The last time we faced Glentoran we lost 3-2. A game in which we could have easily picked up points. We must go into this game with the same positive attitude and continue to create chances. Ards recently picked up points at the Oval, so there is no reason why we can’t do the same. Glentoran have been appointed with a new manager so this might give them a new lease of life, as the players will be out to impress. Therefore, it is vital that we start off on the front foot, and every man works hard and wins their battles all over the field.
