This was an entertaining game which had everything. I think we were the better team and deserved more than a point. We got of to a cracking start getting a goal inside 90 seconds. The goal came when Conor Mac found Darren Murray with a great through ball and he rounded the keeper and finished. We had a few more good chances in the first half which we did not take. They got back into the game with a brilliant volley from outside of the box. Ards tails were up and they got a second goal shortly after. Johnny Parr pulled of one of the best saves of the season from close range just before the break. We started off the second half very brightly like we did in the first half. We got back into the game when Conor Mac showed great determination to get the ball of the right back and finish with his right foot. We had another few chances we did not take, and we were punished on the counter attack when Ards got their third goal. We did not drop our heads and we continued to play football and create chances. We finally got a bit of luck when Liam Mc Kenna found some space at the edge of the box to get his shot away and the ball trickled into the net past the keeper. Overall, I think we played some excellent passages of football and deserved more. We need to capitalise on the chances we create and tighten up at the back. We turn our attention to the Glentoran were we travel to the Oval. We have lost to Glentoran on two occasions this season. However, in both game we played very well and maybe deserved at least a point. We came closest to beating Glentoran back in November when we lost 3-2 due to a late winner from Glentoran. We got our two goals from following up and getting to the second ball first. I believe that we need to show the same attitude as we did in these games and be the first to every lose ball. I believe that we have been playing some good football this past few weeks. I f we continue to do this and cut out mistakes at the back, we are well capable of nicking something from this game.
