GOALKEEPING COACH VACANCIES U18 & U20s 2019/2020 Oct 30, 2019

Warrenpoint Town Football Club is looking to recruit suitably qualified ‘Goalkeeping Coach’ to join our academy within the Senior Development Phase x1 coach U18 and x1 coach U20s.

The voluntary roles will require coaches to work evenings and weekends and offers successful applicants the opportunity to work within an Irish Premier League Academy and play an important part in the development of the young Goalkeepers.
Role Summary

To be responsible for the overall management, development and coaching of Senior Development Phase Goalkeepers within the academy, in line with the coaching philosophy, vision and values of the Academy. To work closely with the Academy Manager to ensure that the needs of all players are fully catered for.

Main Roles and Responsibilities (Goalkeeping Coaches)
• To support the Academy Manager with the coaching programme for Goalkeepers, delivering related practices associated with excellence in football.
• Inspire, engage and support the development of Academy Goalkeepers.
• Planning, delivery & evaluation of Goalkeeping specific coaching sessions.
• Deliver Goalkeeper specific warm ups on match days.
• Recording and evaluation of players performance within sessions & games.
• Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis, completing the relevant reports.
• Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to the academy vision and philosophy.
• A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work with a range of individuals.
• Communicate with players, coaches, parents, Youth Development Co-ordinator and Academy Manager.
• Commit to a training and games programme as required.
• Attend internal meetings and CPD events provided by the Club.

Senior Development Phase Goalkeeping Coach Roles (U18 & U20s)
Essential Criteria:
• UEFA B coaching licence or working towards.
• UEFA Goalkeeping licence or working towards.
• Emergency First Aid certificate (valid).
• Safeguarding Children certificate (valid).
• Access NI / FA DBS Clearance.
• Previous experience of working with Goalkeepers within the Senior Development Phase.
• Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to the academy vision and philosophy.
• A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work with a range of individuals.
