Luke Gallagher arrived at Warrenpoint and looked as big as Narrow Water keep that still stands since being built in 1568.
Gallagher joins the Town following stents with Burnley, Shelbourne, Bray & Drogheda United. He plays as a defensive midfielder or central defender.
The 25 year old is capped at Ireland Under 21 level and has become Barry Gray’s second signing of the summer window as he continues to strnegthen the panel.
Gray commented to WTFC Website “Luke is without doubt a quality addition, his playing experience speask for itself and gavin and I are delighted to have him onboard.
“Luke is another player we believe can help take us to the next level.”
The manager was delighted unveiling the new star at the entrance to the town and the backdrop of the 400 year old defensive structure was appropiate as the big centre back raised his new teams scarf.
Gray went on to say that the coaching team have been busy over the last few weeks but hat he believes “we are close to completing our business in this window, however we will have a few more new faces to announce very soon.”
