DEVELOPMENT COACHING VACANCIES 2019/2020 Oct 30, 2019
Warrenpoint Town Football Club is looking to recruit suitably
qualified ‘Development’ coaches to join our academy within the Youth
Development Phase (U15-U16s) and Senior Development Phase (U18 & U20s).
The voluntary roles will require coaches to work evenings
and weekends and offers successful applicants the opportunity to work within an
Irish Premier League Academy and play an important part in the development of
the young footballers.
Role Summary
To be responsible for the overall management, development
and coaching of a team within the academy, in line with the coaching
philosophy, vision and values of the Academy. To work closely with the Academy
Manager to ensure that the needs of all players are fully catered for.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
(Development Coaches)
- To support the Academy Manager with the coaching
programme for a specific age group of players, delivering related practices
associated with excellence in football.
- Inspire, engage and support the development of
Academy Players.
- Planning, delivery & evaluation of coaching
sessions.
- Recording and evaluation of players performance
within sessions & games.
- Monitor players and report their progress on a
regular basis, completing the relevant reports.
- Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to
the academy vision and philosophy.
- A positive and professional attitude and the
ability to work with a range of individuals.
- Communicate with players, coaches, parents,
Youth Development Co-ordinator and Academy Manager.
- Commit to a training and games programme as
required.
- Attend internal meetings and CPD events provided
by the Club.
Youth Development Phase Coaching Roles (U15-U16s)
Essential Criteria:
- UEFA B (Part 1) coaching certificate.
- Emergency First Aid certificate (valid).
- Safeguarding Children certificate (valid).
- Access NI / FA DBS Clearance.
- Previous experience of developing young players
within the Youth Development Phase.
- Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to
the academy vision and philosophy.
- A positive and professional attitude and the
ability to work with a range of individuals.
Senior Development Phase Coaching Roles (U18 & U20s)
Essential Criteria:
- UEFA B coaching licence.
- Emergency First Aid certificate (valid).
- Safeguarding Children certificate (valid).
- Access NI / FA DBS Clearance.
- Previous experience of developing players within
the Senior Development Phase.
- Ability to work as part of a team and buy-in to
the academy vision and philosophy.
- A positive and professional attitude and the
ability to work with a range of individuals.
