Barry Gray gives us a few words ahead of this Saturday as the Point welcome Coleraine to Milltown.
“The first period of the second half at Glentoran we looked really good
and were rewarded with an excellent goal from Alan, from that we were on top of the game and a few chances to double our lead.
“Without doubt the red card for Mark was a massive turning point, one which I strongly believe the referee got wrong given the fantastic challenge from Emmett Bennett to clear the ball in a last ditch tackle. When we went down to ten men the game tuned on its head and our game plan went out the window, this was a massive boost for Glentoran.
“I strongly believe that had the decision not been made that we would have went on to win the game and possibly score another goal, however, this is the way football goes sometimes and we have to take positives from that fact we competed so well.
“As I’ve said before the top six games for us are a bonus therefore we shouldn’t fear any opposition especially at Milltown. I’ve no doubt that if we can build on last week’s performance that we can get something from the game.
“Coleraine are a top side and we know how dangerous they can be, but we are confident that things are moving in the right direction for us and confident that we can make this a game which we will hopefully record points from”
