Stephen McDonnell and the Board at Warrenpoint have today completed the backroom appointments with Colm Barron and Stefano Greco added.
Colm Barron who recently completed his UEFA A License also has a degree in Sports Management from University College Dublin.
Following his degree, he studied in Spain under the guidance of Catalan FA Pro License tutor Albert Vinas.
Having played with Bohemians at underage the Dublin native had to retire at 19 with injury. He has been involved over the last decade with Bohemians U17’s and St Kevin’s boys as part of the development of multiple schoolboy Internationals and players who have made it across the water in the UK.
Continuing the international flavour at The Point, Stefano Greco is an Italian coach who is completing his UEFA A License currently. The last two years he has been a coach at Serie A team FC Crotone concentrating on their youth set up.
He has coached in the USA with FC Bolts and FC Spartans in the Maple League. Like Barron, Grecco, a former goalkeeper had his playing career cut short due to serious injury.
Commenting on the backroom appointment interim first team manager, Stephen McDonnell said “these guys are adding something different to our style with an emphasis on youth and a playing style that will be attractive to watch and deliver results.
“I am delighted they have both agreed to come on board with me as we aim to retain our Premiership status.
