Occupation: Football Manger

Favourite player of all time? Ian Rush

Favourite meal, 3 courses? Prawn Cocktail starter, Mixed Grill main, Hot chocolate fudge sundae for dessert

Best pre match breakfast as a player? I used to have chicken breast, pasta & beans for majority of my career but ventured into scrambled egg & beans towards the end.

How do you prepare for a game player/manager? My matchday preparations are completely different now as Manager in that as soon as one game has finished I’m mentally preparing for the next game. However on a matchday I’ll get up & take the dog for a walk buy my newspapers & a bottle of lucozade, come home have a bowl of cereal & flick through the papers. Then I’ll go through my notes on the opposition & write up the set piece routines on the flip chart paper. Chill out for half hour then have a bite to eat before shower & get into matchday attire. The journey down the road varies on how we done the previous game. If we’ve had a good result then it’s the same playlist off Daves phone, stop at same places for a coffee & to buy my chewing gum & bottles of water.

Any lucky traditions? Too many to mention

Favourite book? Anything by James Patterson in particular his Alex Cross series

3 guests for dinner, dead or alive and why? Gazza for a proper chat about all his antics, Liam Gallagher for a yarn about music & Sir Alex Ferguson to pick his brains on football management

Football Honours? Wales u18 & u21 caps, few county cups in England. Macclesfield Town record league goalscorer, 2 County Antrim shield wins, 2 Irish Premier League runners up. 2 League cup runners up, Championship winner, Mid Ulster cup winners.

Past clubs? Oldham, Macclesfield (3 spells), Mansfield, Bury, Hyde United, Droylsden, Dundalk, Portadown, Linfield, Ballymena
